Serenity at Schofield focuses on assuring comfort by relieving pain and controlling symptoms 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The following team members are available as indicated in the care plan for each resident:
- Hospice physician consultant
- Registered nurses
- Licensed practical nurses
- Medical social workers
- Pastoral care chaplains
- Consultant therapists (speech, occupational, music, massage)
- Certified nursing assistants
- Bereavement counselors (13 months of grief support for significant members of a resident’s family)
- Trained volunteers
