Schofield Announces New Personnel Appointments, part one

The following personnel appointments were recently announced by Edward J. Gray, president of Schofield, a not-for-profit long term care and home health care organization located at 3333 Elmwood Avenue in Kenmore.

Susan Rozumalski, RN, MS was promoted to vice president of Schofield. Ms. Rozumalski was formerly director of Quality and Performance Management for the organization. In her new role, Ms. Rozumalski oversees more than 450 staff members and operations among Schofield’s Adult Day Health Care Program, Home Health programs, and skilled nursing residence.

Randy Gerlach was named administrator of Schofield Residence, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term rehab therapy and long term care as well as a dedicated Hospice unit in partnership with Hospice Buffalo, Inc. Mr. Gerlach was formerly administrator of a skilled nursing facility in Buffalo. He has extensive healthcare and long term care experience throughout New York State and is president of the New York State Health Facilities Association, District 10.

Jacqueline Sas, RN, MS, NHA was named assistant director of Nursing and Resident Care Services at Schofield Residence. Ms. Sas oversees nurses, certified nursing assistants and hospitality aides. She is responsible for the coordination and administration of health care services to all residents under the supervision of the director of Nursing. Prior to joining Schofield, Ms. Sas supervised a 180-bed long term care facility as its director of Nursing.

Schofield is a not-for-profit long term care and home health care organization founded in 1910 and located at 3333 Elmwood Avenue in Kenmore. More than 700 clients, patients and residents are cared for within Schofield Residence, Schofield Adult Day Health Care Program and Schofield’s Home Health Care programs in Erie and Niagara counties.
