Food Safety & Virtual Garden Tour Highlight Free Workshops at Schofield
Kenmore, NY – March 15, 2018 – The community is invited to attend free wellness workshops at the Mondello Wellness & Family Center located at Schofield Residence, 3333 Elmwood Avenue in the Town of Tonawanda this April.
Did you know that as we get older we are at more risk for Food Borne Illness? Plan to attend the Food Safety & Cooking Demonstration from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Tues. April 10. Learn best practices for food safety in your kitchen. Try to outsmart registered dietician Benjamin Glurich of Cornell Cooperative Extension. Walk through a recipe utilizing the latest food safety guidelines.
Take a Virtual Garden Tour of Butchart Gardens, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada on Tues. April 24 at 1:00 p.m. Federated Garden Club of NYS member, Maryann Jumper, will show the world renown garden with beautiful flora on display during any season. Maryann is a lifelong Ken-Ton resident and a member of the World Association of Flower Arrangers.
