Traumatic Brain Injury Services

Overview:

It's estimated that 5.3 million Americans currently live with disabilities resulting from traumatic brain injury. Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of brain injury, followed by falls.

Brain injury can have many consequences. Some of them are: short term and long term memory loss, slowed ability to process information, difficulty with concentration, impaired judgment, difficulty in initiating or completing tasks, seizures, speech impairments, fatigue, balance problems, anxiety, depression, impulsive behavior and agitation.

Because of the unique nature of brain injuries programs designed to help must address the cognitive, physical and emotional aspects of the program participant.

Schofield offers services for individuals who are living with the affects of a Traumatic Brain Injury through two programs:

Service Coordination through Schofield Residence Long Term Home Health Care Program.

Home and Community Support Services through Schofield Home Health Care Services.
