HIV/AIDS Home Care 

Admissions Criteria

An applicant must:

• Be an Erie County resident;

• Be medically eligible for services of a hospital or residential health care facility;

• Be diagnosed as having HIV infection or AIDS by a physician.

• Be eligible for Medicaid benefits, have Medicare or private insurance coverage, or be willing to pay for services privately.

The Schofield Residence participates in the HIV Home Care Uninsured Fund administered by the AIDS Institute, NYS Department of Health. This fund provides reimbursement for some health care services for medically and chronically dependent HIV positive ill persons who are uninsured or underinsured.
