Join us throughout 2010 as we celebrate the Legacy of Caring left to us by our founder, Dr. Jennie Schofield, and the many community volunteers and employees whose tireless work contributed to our success. Look for a history update each month featuring one decade of Schofield's 100 year history.

On the agenda for commemorating Schofield's 100-year history in 2010 are the following events:

February 18, 2010: We kicked off our celebratory year with a "Century Party" for our nursing facility residents, their families and our staff. The party featured 10 theme tables that were decorated by our volunteers and teams of employees to represent the cultural history of each of our 10 decades of service. In addition, a display featuring information and memorabilia from Schofield's history was unveiled.
March 23, 2010 - We hosted a networking event for health and human services professionals, featuring an educational program and presentation on our history.
May 1 and 2, 2010, we took our history show on the road to the Ken-Ton Chamber of Commerce's Annual Community Showcase.
May 15, 2010 - We invited the public to visit our Nursing Facility for our Health and Wellness Fair & Open House from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
June 9, 2010 - We honored the employees and volunteers at our Long Term Home Health Care Program offices in celebration of their 25^th Anniversary.
August 18- Our resident picnic features a 1950's history theme.
August 19 - We celebrate the many employees who have made our organization successful, including those employed at Schofield from 10 to 35 years. We will unveil our Employee Wall of Honor on this date.
On Monday, August 23 at our Rose Garden Concert we will honor the Zonta Club of Kenmore for their longstanding support of the Schofield Residence.
On Thursday, October 28 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. we invite our supporters to "Schofield's First Century of Caring Celebration." The event at Harry's Harbour Place Grill will feature a cocktail reception and silent auction/basket auction to support the Schofield Foundation. Look for your invitation soon!
